Lady Antebellum is an American country music group formed in Nashville, Tennessee in 2006. The trio is composed of Charles Kelley (lead and background vocals), Dave Haywood (background vocals, guitar, piano, mandolin)(from U.S.A) and Hillary Scott (lead and background vocals). The group made its debut in 2007 as guest vocalists on Jim Brickman’s single “Never Alone”, before signing to Capitol Records Nashville and releasing “Love Don’t Live Here”. The song, which peaked at #3 on the Hot Country Songs chart in May 2008, served as the first single to the group’s self-titled debut album. Certified platinum in the US, the album also includes the singles “Lookin’ for a Good Time” and “I Run to You”, the latter of which became the group’s first Number One in July 2009. “Need You Now,” was released in mid-2009 and is the first single off the band’s new album released in January 2010; it is also the group’s second number one single. “American Honey”, the second single from Need You Now, was released in January 2010, and is their 4th top 10 single, as well as their third #1 single.

Lady Antebellum has been awarded Top New Duo or Group in 2009 by the Academy of Country Music and New Artist of the Year in 2008 by the Country Music Association. They were nominated for two Grammy Awards at the 51st Grammy Awards and two more at the 52nd Grammy Awards; of these nominations, they took home the award for Best Country Performance by Duo or Group with Vocals for “I Run to You.” More recently on April 18, 2010, the group was awarded Top Vocal Group, Song of the Year (”Need You Now”), and Single of the Year (”Need You Now”) at the 45th ACM Awards.

Adam Mitchel Lambert (born January 29, 1982) is an American singer, songwriter, and actor from San Diego, California. In May 2009, he finished as the runner-up on the eighth season of American Idol.

Lambert released his debut album, For Your Entertainment, on November 23, 2009,[2] via RCA Records/19 Recordings. The album debuted at number 3 on the Billboard 200 on the week of December 12, 2009, selling 198,000 copies in the United States

Lambert auditioned for the eighth season of American Idol in San Francisco, California. In a Rolling Stone interview he said his decision to audition for the show came after a week at Burning Man where he experimented with “certain funguses.” He went on to say that “I had a psychedelic experience where I looked up at the clouds and went, ‘Oh!’ I realized that we all have our own power, and that whatever I wanted to do, I had to make happen.”  During his initial audition, he sang “Rock With You” and “Bohemian Rhapsody.” Lambert had cited several musical influences, including Madonna, Queen, David Bowie, Michael Jackson, Aerosmith, and Led Zeppelin. In the semifinals, Lambert was voted into the Top 13, joining fellow Group 2 performers Allison Iraheta and Kris Allen. Lambert and Allen became roommates in the Idol mansion, with Allen stating it was due to their neatness.

During Michael Jackson week, he sang “Black or White” leading to praise from all four judges, with Paula Abdul predicting that he would go on to the finals. The following week, Lambert sang a version of “Ring of Fire”. While Randy Jackson, Kara DioGuardi, and Abdul all liked his performance, Simon Cowell called it “indulgent rubbish”.  On Motown night, Lambert sang an acoustic version of The Miracles’, “The Tracks of My Tears”. The judges all liked it, and Smokey Robinson, the week’s mentor and the original singer-songwriter, gave Lambert a standing ovation. For his Top 8 performance, Lambert sang the 2001 Gary Jules arrangement of “Mad World”. Because the show had exceeded its time slot, only Cowell gave a critique, which he did by simply giving Lambert a standing ovation. During the results next night, the other judges agreed that a standing ovation was the best critique of Lambert’s performance. For his second Top 7 performance, Lambert sang “If I Can’t Have You”, delivering what DioGuardi described as his “most memorable performance”, while Cowell described his vocals as “immaculate”. Abdul was reduced to tears, with host Ryan Seacrest joking that Lambert had melted her into a “pool of Abdul”. In the Top 4, Lambert was the first to sing, performing “Whole Lotta Love”. Cowell commented, “that was one of my favorite performances…nobody can top that now”, while Abdul, punning on the song’s title, described Lambert’s performance as “a whole lotta perfect”.

Tommy Lee (born October 3, 1962) is an American musician, and founding member of glam metal band Mötley Crüe. As well as being the band’s long-term drummer, Lee founded rap-metal band Methods of Mayhem, and has pursued solo musical projects. He was previously married to actresses Heather Locklear and Pamela Anderson, with whom he had two children.

Tommy Lee came back once with Mötley Crüe to go on the Crüe’s Greatest Hits tour in 1999. With the popularity of rap metal, Lee formed a band called Methods of Mayhem. The band released a self-titled album the same year and toured in support of it. Although Lee distanced himself from Mötley Crüe after splitting, he agreed to take part in their 2001 autobiography, The Dirt. In addition to Mötley Crüe and Methods of Mayhem, Lee has made guest appearances on albums by other artists, such as Stuart Hamm, Nine Inch Nails and Rob Zombie. He also contributed a song, “Planet Boom” (originally on Mötley Crüe’s Quaternary EP) to the soundtrack of then-wife Pamela Anderson’s 1996 movie, Barb Wire, and produced an album for the pre-Goldfinger project from John Feldmann and Simon Williams, the Electric Love Hogs.[citation needed]

Lee parted ways with Methods of Mayhem partner Tilo and began recording with members of Incubus. He then released his first solo album. The album, 2002’s Never a Dull Moment, has tones of rap metal and electronica. The song “Blue” features guest vocalist Rodleen Getsic (the credits read: “Rolleen”). In August 2002, Tommy Lee and his solo band joined Ozzfest, mainstage. He formed a new band called Rock Star Supernova with Jason Newsted (Voivod, ex-Metallica) and Gilby Clarke (ex-Guns N’ Roses).

The 2006 season of Rock Star selected Lukas Rossi as the lead singer for Supernova. Dilana, the runner-up, and Toby Rand with his own band Juke Kartel accepted an offer to go on tour with Supernova. Rock Star Supernova was released their debut album on November 21, 2006.

Travis Landon Barker  is an American drummer and the current drummer for pop punk trio Blink-182. He has also been a drummer for several other people including Chris Hayto.

After the passing of his first punk rock band, Feeble, Barker began playing for The Aquabats in 1996 as The Baron Von Tito. He recorded one album with them, The Fury of the Aquabats!, in 1997. His career took off when he joined up with pop punk band, Blink-182 in 1998. Barker became known for his mohawk and his tendency to perform shirtless, revealing a multitude of tattoos. Barker has since established himself as a versatile drummer, producing and making guest appearances in music projects of numerous music genres including hip-hop, punk rock, alternative rock, skate punk, pop and even country. He has gained significant acceptance within the hip-hop community in particular and often collaborates with artists to compose rock-tinged remixes to their songs.

He founded clothing company Famous Stars and Straps in 1999 and LaSalle Records in 2004. Companies such as DC Shoes and Zildjian cymbals have co-designed products in his name.

Barker has produced or worked on albums with the Black Eyed Peas, Pink and Pharrell. He appears on Bun B’s album, Trill (2005) with Skinhead Rob for the bonus track, “Late Night Creepin’”. In 2006 he was a producer on T.I.’s fourth album, King. Also in 2006 he played drums for several songs on Avril Lavigne’s third album, “The Best Damn Thing”. He also dueted with Rihanna on a remix of her hit “Umbrella”, he also appeared in her video. Barker also had a remix with the Rap artist Eminem, on the song 3 A.M.

In late 2005 Barker started a new band, +44 with fellow Blink-182 member Mark Hoppus and in 2006, he and Rob Aston joined Paul Wall in forming a new hip hop group called Expensive Taste.

Barker made a very well received remix of Soulja Boy’s “Crank That”. In a similar fashion to the Soulja Boy remix, he has also remixed Flo Rida’s single “Low” that was later included within the deluxe version of Flo Rida’s debut album. Barker is a playable character in Guitar Hero: World Tour and his remix of “Low” is available as downloadable content. Barker is also featured on The Game’s latest album, L.A.X., drumming on the song “Dope Boys”.

He was the drummer for all of the performers at the MTV Video Music Awards of 2008, including Kid Rock and LL Cool J.

In August 2009, Matt Sorum revealed that Barker will appear on Slash & Friends, Slash’s upcoming solo album.

In June 2009, he played drums in the BET Awards for Jamie Foxx’s performance of “Blame It”.

In November 2009, Barker made a remix with hip-hop artist Drake’s song “Forever”, featuring Eminem, Lil Wayne and Kanye West.

In 1990, Nick Hexum started his own small record company, called What Have You Records, for the purpose of releasing 311 albums. Their first release, Dammit!, was released that year on consignment in record stores throughout Omaha. After the departure of Jim Watson, the remaining members asked their friend Tim Mahoney to take over.

In 1991, 311 released their second independent release, Unity,(recorded at Rainbow Recording Studios ,Omaha) which was released with far greater numbers. While Dammit! only printed 300 cassettes, Unity had 1000 CDs and 500 cassettes printed and was distributed through consignment and also sold at shows. The band began to headline shows in local clubs, such as The Ranch Bowl and Sokol Auditorium, and became a local success.

1992 was a big year for 311. S. A. Martinez, who had been making various appearances with 311 over the past years as a vocalist, had officially been asked to join the band. The newly formed 311 recorded a six-track demo, called Hydroponic, and moved to Los Angeles. Within their first few months, 311 was signed to Capricorn Records.

311 considers their first show to be held on June 10, 1990, opening for Fugazi in Omaha, NE at the Sokol Auditorium.

Gym Class Heroes is an American Rap Rock band from Geneva, New York. The group formed when Travis “Schleprok” McCoy met drummer Matt McGinley and decided to form a band. After the addition of guitarist Disashi Lumumba-Kasongo and bassist Eric Roberts, former members of Earl’s Garage, they were signed to Fueled By Ramen and Decaydance Records, Fall Out Boy’s bassist, Pete Wentz’s, own independent record label, on which they released the gold-selling album As Cruel as School Children. Since that release, the band’s single “Cupid’s Chokehold” reached #4 on the Billboard Hot 100, and “Clothes Off!!” peaked at #5 on the UK Singles Chart. Gym Class Heroes use live instrumentation. They have collaborated with Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump on numerous occasions, notably for providing backing vocals on the song “Cupid’s Chokehold.” Stump also produced the majority of their album The Quilt, which was released on September 9, 2008.

MC Travis McCoy and drummer Matt McGinley became friends at their local high school’s gym class in Geneva, New York. They officially came together in 1997. The original GCH began playing birthday parties, clubs, and festivals which eventually led to larger venues throughout the northeast, including two years on Warped Tour (2003, 2004, 2008). During 2004, guitarist Milo Bonacci parted ways with the band and was replaced with current guitarist Disashi Lumumba-Kasongo. In mid 2005, bassist Ryan Geise left the band and was replaced by their friend, bassist Eric Roberts. Gym Class Heroes’ lead singer Travis McCoy won MTV’s Direct Effect MC Battle and as a prize, appeared in Styles P’s video “Daddy Get That Cash”.The group released three more CDs from 1999 to 2004, called “Hed Candy,” “Greasy Kids Stuff,” and “Papercut Chronicles EP”. Their video “Cupids Chokehold” features appearances by Katy Perry and Patrick Stump. They also occasionally tour with New York songwriter Tim William on keyboards.
